The days leading up to the final of the Copa Libertadores in Rio between a Brazilian and an Argentine team were violent, full of threats and fights between hooligans. Luckily we found a story that could be told to calm the waters: Pablo Cardozo, an Argentinean and Boca Juniors fan, has been living inside Christ the Redeemer - the lucky charm of Fluminense fans - and guarding it for more than 10 years. This discovery helped Mercado Libre connect with soccer fans by showing that sport transcends rivalries, promote unity and bring peace.
